Hi, thank you for visiting my personal fundraising page.
Through simplygiving.com you can make safe and secure donations to sponsor me. The proceeds of your support are immediately sent directly to my charity. Using this given platform is really simple and most importantly it's also a really cost efficient way for the charity to raise funds. My page allows you to follow my progress; share it with friends; voice encouragement or even join me and get involved yourself!
From January 1st 2013 I shall be hiking the famous "Twin Peaks" in
Repulse Bay, Hong Kong for the full 31 days of January. This 2000 step, 360 metre climb is famous for being steep, compact and exhausting …. I am willing to take this on every day for a month to raise money for 2 great charities in need of support, Mothers Choice in Hong Kong & The East Cheshire Hospice in North England.
With your help I am attempting to raise HK$500,000. If we were to hit this target, for Mothers Choice alone it would enable the creation of an Early Intervention Therapy Room for babies under 2 years old,
something that would dramatically improve the quality of many lives
each year.
Mother's Choice
Mother’s Choice provides and promotes loving, nurturing care for babies and children needing permanent homes and for single girls and their families facing crisis pregnancies. Mother's Choice believe that every child deserves to have a family and that every young woman deserves to be treated with dignity. With the help of the community, over the past 25 years they have:
cared for over 3,600 babies in the loving environment of their Child
Care Home and Foster Programme; become a leader in early intervention for children with special needs, and provided therapies and love for over 2,600 babies and children; assisted with the adoption of over 1,200 babies locally and over 200 special needs children around the world; provided sex education and training for over 510,000 children and parents in local schools; provided counselling and shelter to over 51,000 single girls facing crisis pregnancies; and inspired and trained sister organisations in India, China and Cambodia.
The needs in Hong Kong are only growing, and your support is needed more than ever.
Please dig deep and donate, every little counts!
