Animal Care League is participating in Virtual Fundraising by TAR UMT Penang - A Civic Consciousness and Volunteerism Project (II)
and is fundraising for Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology

By harnessing the power of ‘Simply Giving,’ we unite as a force to provide vital support to stray animals. Together, we resolute in our mission to illuminate the path of compassion and extend a loving embrace to our cherished animal companions in their time of need.

My Story

Aloha! We are a group of students from Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology (TARUMT), pursuing Diploma in “Accounting”, and brimming with enthusiasm in animal welfare. We will be conducting an online fundraising campaign in support of “Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals” (SPCA) in Penang. SPCA is a non-profit animal welfare organization that seeks to help sick, injured, and abandoned animals by offering them temporary refuge. SPCA also contributes to public education on pet ownership responsibilities.  

The lack of education and awareness of humans towards animal welfare is a concerning issue that involves the mistreatment, harm, or cruelty inflictedupon animals. Public awareness campaigns and educational programs can help people understand the importance of animal welfare and the impact of theirirrational actions. This can promote empathy and compassion towards animals and foster a sense of responsibility for their well-being. Hence, we as a group of students decided to execute our visionin the name of “Animal Care League” with the vision to create a compassionate society where every stray animalsreceive love, a suitable permanent home and a chance to experience a quality life.  

In order to realize our noble mission, we will raise funds through ‘Simply Giving’ platform, that transfers contributions directly to SPCA. This platform serves as a conduit, ensuring that the benevolence of our generous donors flows directly and efficiently to SPCA Penang, leaving no room for intermediaries or delays. Our primary goal is to raise a minimum of RM2,000 in this fundraising campaign, with the ultimate intention of contributing the donation to SPCA Penang, thus aiding and supporting the well-being of animals under their care. Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a meaningful impact in providing shelter, food, and medical attention for these vulnerable creatures.Lastly, our fundraising campaign period will be conducted within 7 weeks, starting from 7/8/2023, and ending on 24/9/2023.
