Khairul is a five month old baby boy who is currently in Hospital Selayang. His father is a Malaysian Bidayuh from Sarawak working in KL as a welder for a wage of 80-90MYR/day. His mother is Indonesian and, because they were not married at his birth, Khairul is not considered to be a Malaysian citizen and cannot access public healthcare benefits.
Khairul was initially checked in to the hospital because he was suffering from fever, cough, and seizures. He has been diagnosed with bilateral subdural effusion/haemorrhage (intracranial bleeding), and needs to undergo operation to drain the left subdural fluids/bleeding.
However, the family cannot afford the operation fees.
YCK would like to raise 15,000MYR to help Khairul's family pay for this life-saving treatment.
