My Story

Message from Joyce:

Did you know that according to recent studies, a high school graduate will earn 60% more than a high school dropout in a 65-year working life? Which means we have to do our best in keeping children IN school and out of labor to aide in their journeys of growing up to become happy, healthy, integral parts of our societies.

Many Filipino families living in poverty are forced to put children as young as 5 years old into labor to help provide for their basic needs. This is in violation of children’s rights, but it is what most poor families veer towards in fighting for their survival.

By sponsoring a child and donating to programs that support their overall well-being, we provide for them a chance to attain quality education, and help in building a more sustainable community for Filipino families in need.


About World Vision's Back-to-School Project:

World Vision has been focused on helping Filipino children and their families for over 60 years. We serve over 30 communities all over the country to aid the needs of children in hard to reach and poorest areas. World Vision believes that education is the path out of poverty and that improving the functional literacy of children will give them more opportunities to overcome poverty and live life in all its fullness.


How this Project Works:

For every 1000 Php we raise, we get to give a school kit to 3 children in need. Each school kit will include notebook, pencils, and other materials they would need to start their school year right.
