My Story
Hello all! I am currently helping out a school for Burmese refugee children in Cheras, Malaysia which is about half an hour away from Kuala Lumpur. Each of their parents collectively earn around RM1000 per month of salary for a family of 4 on average. Their only form of educators are volunteer teachers of which they do not have constantly. They do not have enough of the basic necessities such as textbooks, workbooks, copybooks, and stationaries for the children. Furthermore they often do not have water for the kids to drink although sometimes they ask to be excused from class for a 'water break'. There are around 80 children ranging from 4 years of age to 14.
I have spent time with these children and they are truly bright. If you would kindly lend a helping hand - these children will finally be able to receive an education they deserve.
