A devastating second wave of COVID-19 cases is battering India, leaving families and communities in desperate need of assistance. UNICEF is on the ground, working with partners to deliver urgently needed medical equipment, PPE, hygiene supplies and critical care to those in need. UNICEF in India has been working tirelessly since the start of the pandemic to help tackle the impact of the virus and the measures taken to manage it. UNICEF is implementing programmes to help children and families cope in addition to supporting the national vaccine rollout, oxygen availability in-country and strengthening screening at airports.
1 Oxygen Concentrator costs RM3,200.
1 Oxygen Generation Plant (OGP) costs RM714,720, which can service a 500-bed hospital for 20 years. UNICEF is looking to provide 50 units of OGP to India.
