RIPPLE is committed to reducing waste through upcycling, particularly glass and plastics, while providing economic opportunities for rural communities and we have achieved remarkable success in reducing waste and promoting sustainable practices in Kota Kinabalu. To date, we have recycled 43,768.8kg of glass and 20,542.5kg of plastic with a total of 1022 volunteers.
However, we have received notice from our landlord that we will need to evict and relocate our operations by 31 December 2024. This poses a major challenge to our ongoing efforts.
The RM100,000 funding we are raising is crucial to ensure that we can carry out the following :
1. Setting Up at the New Premises: We have identified a few potential locations.
2. Relocating equipment and materials: ensuring the transportation of our machinery and materials to the new location.
3. Continuing our programs seamlessly: Minimizing disruption to our ongoing environmental projects and community initiatives.
We greatly appreciate your willingness to support our efforts and strongly believe that with your help and generosity, we can ensure that our initiatives continue to have a positive impact on the environment and society in Sabah.
