The impact of the COVID-19 virus has been felt acutely across the Hong Kong community. The Spanish Chamber of Commerce, as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, wants to contribute to relief efforts to combat COVID-19 in Hong Kong with a fundraising campaign.
To ensure the effectiveness of our initiative, we are partnering with HandsOn Hong Kong. All funds will be channeled by them for an impactful, professional and compliant use of resources.
Founded in 2007, HandsOn Hong Kong is a registered charity whose mission is to empower everyone in Hong Kong to volunteer. Their vision is for a city where the community serves together to address social needs. In 2019, they partnered with 106 NGOs and 48 Corporate partners. Generating over 36,000 hours of volunteer service across 3,682 initiatives. Having a positive impact on more than 70,000 beneficiaries in Hong Kong.
As the COVID-19 crisis continues to develop, the HandsOn Hong Kong team has been doing everything they can to support their network of 100+ charity partners. They are in regular contact with each to understand their most critical needs and figure out how best to help. HandsOn have compiled a list of some of the most urgent needs and posted on their website. These emergency items range from masks and sanitizer for families living in subdivided flats to food for low-mobility elderly who are unable to safely leave their home.
We would like to encourage our Members and Friends to donate using this Fundraising page here. On behalf of our chamber and HandsOn Hong Kong, we thank each of you for your support.
