This year I am dedicating my birthday to hike up the Pat Sin Leng with my family in order to raise funds for Maggie's Cancer Caring Centre. Please support and join me in helping more people touched by cancer by donating to Maggie’s today!
My Story
Maggie’s Cancer Caring Centre provides free practical, emotional and psychosocial support for people with cancer and their families and friends.
In
addition to commemorating the third anniversary of the permanent Centre this
March, I am celebrating my birthday as well as seven years as Centre
Head of
Maggie’s. For
these years, I have helped and witnessed people live with, through and beyond
cancer, and shared countless memories with the community.
I love hiking and have left footprints on many mountains in Hong Kong but somehow never successfully ascended Pak Sin Leng despite trying twice in my teenage years. Understanding that my chronic knee problem is only getting worse, I hope to give one last shot and finally conquer the mountain with your support in March.
To me, mountain hiking always has more to offer than just health benefits; it is the lesson that has kept me going through peaks and valleys in life.
