Hi, my name is Azri Hakim and I'm a barista that dreams to become a commercial pilot. I come from a family of 6, both of my parents are retired military personnel. My father was in the Royal Malaysia Airforce, though he was not a fighter pilot but he managed to instill that dream of becoming a pilot in me. I was hooked onto the idea since I was a little kid. Fast forward to 2022 while I was on break at my workplace, I found out that an airline in my country is opening a slot for a cadet pilot program. I knew that that was the only shot I have if I ever wanted to become a pilot. Now its 2024, this is my third attempt and I finally managed to secure a slot for the cadetship. I successfully passed all the screening stages including the aviation medical test. Now, financial is the only thing left between me and my dream. This year, I've reached the age limit for the program and this will be my only chance to pursue my dreams and change the trajectory of my life.

I've been briefed by the airline that this program will take me around 2 years to complete and the fee for the whole course will be USD117,212 which will be around RM513,591 (based on the currency rate while I'm writing this). I knew in advance that my family or myself will not be able to afford the full amount and I knew that I will need to take out a bank loan which can only covers 90% of the total fee. The 10% (~RM51,000) will need to be self funded. Help me to fund the remaining RM20,000 since I have managed to save about RM31,000 in savings.
