Mind HK and The Nature Conservancy (Off-the-Water Fitness Challenge)

In this “Off-the-Water Fitness Challenge”, divisional teams will compete head-to-head in a fitness game to see who gets the most points and raises the most money through rounds of push-ups, burpees, and dragon boat paddling on a rowing machine.

Game rules:

Round 1: Up to 3 members from each team will take turns to complete an aggregate of 60 push-ups. Teams will be ranked and scored according to the time they spend completing all push-ups, with the fastest team scoring 8 points and the slowest 1.
! To increase the excitement to this challenge, from June 5 - June 21, employees can pledge below to influence the results, with your pledges determining the number of push-ups each team must complete!
  • For every HKD 1,000 pledged, 10 extra push-ups will be added to that team's target
  • The minimum pledge per person is HKD100 and can be increased in HKD100 increments
  • The maximum number of push-ups for each team is capped at 200
  • Pledging will close at 9:30 a.m. (HKT) on Friday, June 21
  • On-site at the event, teams will be given a chance to pledge and reduce the number of push-ups they have to complete
Round 2: Up to 3 team members from each team will take turns to complete 60 burpees together, with each team ensuring that all 5 members have competed at least once across round 1 and round 2. Similar to round 1, the fastest team to complete all burpees will score 8 points and the slowest 1. Scores in round 1 and 2 will be added up, and the 2 teams with the highest total scores will enter the final round.

In case of a tie between the 2nd and 3rd place, an additional jumping jack elimination round will be organized to determine which team can enter the final round, where each team can appoint 1 member to see who completes the most flying jacks within 1 minute. The team completing the most will enter the final round.

Final Round: The 2 final teams will each row an aggregated 2km of dragon boat style padding on a rowing machine whilst all team members must participate the challenge, The first team to finish will be the champion of this Off-the-Water Fitness Challenge and take home the winning trophy!
