Over 1 million COVID-19 cases have been reported in the Philippines as of 26 April 2021. The COVID-19 pandemic continues to bring challenges to children and their families as households lose their sources of income. In the past year, Save the Children Philippines has distributed lifesaving supplies to thousands of children and their families and hope to reach more through your support. 

Help provide a month’s supply of hygiene essentials and clean water to 200 families. Proper hygiene practices are crucial in keeping children and their families safe from the virus however not everyone has access to clean water. With limited budget due to unstable sources of income, some families are also not able to purchase basic hygiene supplies. A donation of Php 2,000 provides a family of 5 with a month’s supply of hygiene essentials and clean water that can help them stay protected from illnesses including COVID-19.

In the last 40 years, Save the Children Philippines has been providing lifesaving support whenever disasters strike, including the Typhoon Yolanda Emergency Response, known as one of the most powerful storms. Save the Children was one of the first organizations to respond to this emergency and we implemented rehabilitation programs that assisted affected communities. As a result of learnings from this response, we strongly advocated for the enactment of the Children’s Emergency Relief and Protection Act which helps ensure children are protected before, during, and after disasters.
