My Story

Hi, I'm a student in Taylor's University currently volunteering in the project See The Voices within AIESEC and MRA. Our project is deeply rooted in the belief that equality is not just a concept, but a reality that everyone deserves to experience. We are dedicated to reducing inequalities and empowering the deaf community by promoting the use of sign language, aligning perfectly with Sustainable Development Goal 10.

Did you know that there are approximately 40,000 individuals who are deaf in Malaysia? These members of our society possess unique talents and perspectives that deserve to be celebrated and included. However, they face numerous obstacles due to communication barriers and limited access to resources. This is where our project steps in – to uplift and empower the deaf community, offering them the tools they need to succeed.

At the heart of our project is the vision of a society where everyone, regardless of their hearing ability, can thrive without prejudice or limitations. Our goal is to create an inclusive environment that allows the deaf community to fully participate in education, employment, and social interactions. By promoting sign language as a means of communication, we are paving the way for a more equitable and empathetic world.

We are proud to collaborate with AIESEC in Taylor's University and the Malaysian Relief Agency (MRA) to drive this initiative forward. With their support, we can reach more people, pool resources, and amplify our impact. Our partnerships enable us to deliver comprehensive sign language programs, awareness campaigns, and community engagement events that will truly make a difference.
