My Story

Chinese New Year “Virtual Hong Bao” Campaign Theme: Reunion “团圆” A time for togetherness This is Herman. He enjoys the company of his relatives and family during the annual “Reunion Dinner” every Chinese New Year. Something as simple as sharing a meal unites the family together forging a closer bond. It is also a time to wish each other well with Chinese New Year greetings, rather than putting each other down and quarrelling. Some people don’t get to enjoy reunion dinner like it is meant to be. They come from broken families, their parents are divorced and/or their siblings are separated by custody. These people never get to come together to share a meal, to wish each other well. They live in a world of pain and sadness. How EMCC helps those in pain EMCC helps families and individuals who are going through stressful moments in their marriages, through divorces, parent-child conflicts, domestic violence and other life transitions. We provide mediation for divorcing families and disputing family members to resolve their issues. To help fathers in their parenting roles, EMCC also runs a Father-Teen Conflict Resolution workshops under the auspices of Fathers@Schools & Dads@Communities. How you can help give HOPE Even as we sit down at our reunion dinner table, be thankful for the wonderful family you have and remember those who yearn for a joyful reunion dinner. Help us, help them! Even as Herman pledges 10% of his hong bao collections. Join Herman in bringing HOPE to broken relationships by giving a virtual hong bao. Click on the “Donate Now” button.
