Walaa is a Palestinian mother of four, trying to escape the devastating genocide in Gaza. She was a refugee based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, living there for 10 years when she decided to visit her family in Gaza. Unfortunately during her visit, the events of 7th October happened.

In the ensuing chaos and violence orchestrated by the IDF, her family home was bombed and destroyed, and she was forced to flee to the Deir el-Balah camp. She and her family are currently staying in temporary shelters, that lack the safety and security needed to protect themselves from the IDF's relentless aggression. On top of that, she is also pregnant and will soon require medical support.

Walaa made her living in Malaysia by cooking and selling Palestinian food to locals, while her husband worked odd jobs to make ends meet. She wishes to return back to Malaysia where she and her family were safe from violence, gunfire and bombs.

As the IDF are not allowing Palestinians to leave Gaza, in order to escape, Walaa and her family will need to make their way to the Rafah border, and from there, continue on to Cairo, Egypt where they hope to board a flight to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Your support is crucial in aiding this family as they seek refuge and the opportunity to rebuild their shattered lives amidst the ongoing horrors inflicted onto the Palestinian people.

Your donations will help Walaa and her family cover:
- Basic necessities
- Border crossing fees
- Flights to Malaysia from Egypt
