PERTUBUHAN PEDULI MASYARAKAT
KINTA PERAK (PPM-015-08-25062018)
1. Our NGO is established in 2018 with the
main objectives to help in the urban poverty issues. Rural poverty continues to
claim greater attention from the governments and private organisations, but
urban poverty is a bigger challenge in this century and should be in the
national’s agenda. We are currently
conducting a project to empower the women entrepreneurs to help them increase
their families’ incomes. We also
involved in distributing food basket to B40 families around Perak State.
2. During the past years, our projects’
funds come from the public donation. Some of our short-term projects were
conducted by request from the community, such as charity dinner for orphanages
and poor children, and fundraising for families in needs. Although we are a
small NGO, the community always seek help from us by contacting us through
WhatsApp messages, sending us reports and complaints. However, our actions and
contributions are limited due to lack of funds. Therefore, we are planning to
grow big through our projects and community works, send our reports to be
audited starting next year, in order to build trust among the funders, showing
them that we truly serve the community. Some of our contributions have enabled
the families to increase their household incomes. We did all in our power to
help those in needs and building better quality of their lives.
3. Our previous projects :
- Back
to School
– Supply mask and hand sanitizers to the orphanages
- Distributing Food Basket during MCO
- “Saladin”
The Veterans Wear
– contributions to the disabled veterans
- “Majlis Iftar
Bersama Anak Yatim”
- “Peduli Gelandangan”
4. Currently, we are launching a
“DIAPERS BANK” Campaign with the main
objective to ensure that the orphans have adequate supplies of diapers to
remain clean and healthy.
And do you know that the average cost of diapers for one child is
approximately RM90 to RM120 per month? Some families experienced inability to
afford enough diapers for their children since the costs can be a financial
burden to them. Our “DIAPERS BANK” will expand diapers distribution to these disadvantaged
families too to help them support their child’s health and family well-being. Besides
diapers, other basic needs such as milk powder, sanitary pads and adult diapers
will be supplied to those who lack access to these essentials.
We urge community support to help make diapers and other basic needs
more accessible to poor and low income families. We believe our actions
together can ensure all babies grow up healthy and happy, and no family should
have to worry about affording diapers for their children in our community.
